Amphawa Floating Market is an afternoon floating market on Friday,Saturday and Sunday, during 12:00 – 20:00 p.m., the Amphawa Canal is occupied by vendors who pack their boats with food and drinks, such as fried sea mussel, noodles, coffee, sweets, etc. Visitors can enjoy a cosy atmosphere and music broadcast by the community members, explore the market and local food. Tour include a visit to Maeklong Railway Market, a unique market that is held every day literally on the rail tracks.

• Depart for Samut Songkhram, a coastal province at the mouth of the Mae Klong River, is 74 kms. southwest of Bangkok. Samut Songkhram is the province of fertile land, of plants and food grains, the production source of vegetables and fruits, as well as a vast variety of seafood products.
• Visit The Salt Fields, one of the picturesque landmarks of the stretch between Samut Sakhon and Samut Songkhram are the salt fields on both sides of the road. This area is the biggest producer of brine salt in Thailand.
• Visit Talad Rom Hoop or Maeklong Railway Market. This is a unique market that is held every day literally on the rail tracks. The action at the railway market begins several minutes before the train is due to pass through the market. As soon as the siren signals the arrival of the train, everything stops. Shoppers will hop off the tracks, and vendors will quickly pack their goods and prepare to close/retract their awnings from the train track as the train passes by. This process happens fairly quickly since the awning poles have wheels attached. Once the train is gone, its business as usual as if nothing happened. For the locals, they are neither excited nor annoyed by this event since the market has been here long before the railway was setup in 1905. [Train Arrival 13:30 p.m. | Depart 14:30 p.m.]
• Take a 1 hour comfortable long-tail motor boat trip along the Mae Klong river and canals. You will be treated to a spectacular and colorful scenery of Thai life along the river banks.
• The first stop on this pleasant journey was Wat Bang Kung. This is a historically important location because of a battle between King Taksin’s forces and the invading Burmese. It is also famous for being featured in the Unseen Thailand guidebooks. In the temple grounds there is a small chapel that is completely enclosed within the roots of a banyan tree.A short distance away we stopped at another temple. This one was called Wat Bangkae Noi. In the main chapel your can found quite a breathtaking view. The walls and ceiling had some amazing teakwood carvings. These depicted the life and teachings of the Lord Buddha. After this we headed back to our starting point at the Amphawa Floating Market.
